Uniquely gifted multi- dimensional singer/songwriter RES will release a digital EP, Refried Mac, on October 15, 2013 on Javotti Media/ Entertainment One Music. The 5-song Refried Mac EP is a reworking of a dedication to the music of Fleetwood Mac, and a nice teaser for RES’ forthcoming album in early 2014.

Talib Kweli, artist and CEO of Javotti Media, states, “RES is an absolute treasure. She is one of my favorite artists in the world to work with and listen to. I did not want to live in a world where I could not find RES music, so I’m doing everything I can to help her get it out…”

The Refried Mac EP is a collection of Fleetwood Mac songs reinvented by RES and producer Tom Spiker, and gives RES a platform of familiar songs to showcase her amazing voice. It is an artistic triumph that is sure to whet the appetite for the main course, the next original album from a beautiful, brilliant, original artist. As RES says, “I will always be doing music. At times I’ve wanted to quit for financial reasons, but I’m damn good at it. Doing music is what I’m supposed to do. It feels so obvious.”

RES released her solo album, How I Do, to critical acclaim, and it remains a cult classic to this day. After the release of How I Do, she teamed up with Kweli to form the musical duo Idle Warship. The creative group released the mixtape Party Robot and the album Habits of the Heart, with numerous singles in between. RES’ sophomore album, Black Girls Rock, was released independently, and cemented her as a creative force in the industry.
